On 1-9-09 wheel cylinder let go and brakes failed in front of this inspection-gas station. The mechanic replaced the cylinder and he said he replaced both brake shoes. he did not replace both but only one and charged me for $2 plus the labor involved.

I learned of this as on 10-2-09 from another mechanic at another repair business, as this day my brakes went again and unable to drive the jeep, repairs were done. the first mechanic was notified that this second repair revealed prior fraud, that only one brake shoe was replaced, although it was excessively worn it is even questionable if one was even replaced. asked first mechanic at supergas to refund me for the cost of one brake shoe and half the labor cost.

He refused even though my mechanic went and spoke to him and showed him the worn brake shoes he had to replace along with cylinder and other brake parts. supergas is also an inspection station and although I got a sticker that day as he did other work that day on my jeep also, I rather doubt proper inspection was done.
