I think it should a crime and have a steep cost for these damn companies to call our seniors with tricks and silver tongues, take their money! I have seen my own mom suffer from hunger and having no money to pay for heat all because she ordered something, not even from this company they tricked her into taking a free magazine.

They prey on old and infirm people because they know these people cannot remember to cancel or they fail to even tell them they have to cancel. Now my mother in-law is in the same situation. I think they should be punished.

Help. This company Patriotric Readers Club is continuing to bank draft $49.95 from my Mother’s (whom has been diagnosed with Dementia) checking account. I do not even know for what. They will not return my phone calls and nobody live ever answers the phone. Please somebody report this fradulant company to the world. Crime is not the word. Where is the justice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know exactly what you are going through, this same company is trying to get me to pay. I hang up on them every single time they call, I’ve done research and I’m not happy with what I’ve read. I made quite a few calls and kept getting a machine so I finally left a message and this was back in March. I NEVER got a call back so I’ve decided to go with my instincts and changed my bank account number, and you know what? They had been calling me almost every week telling me that they’re not asking for money but they need my information. The last call I got I told them to not call my house and hung up. Never got a call back again. They’ve called using 3 different names, they even claimed to be from Maxim magazine! And now I have a bill from them which is the ONLY BILL I have ever received since I’ve ordered last year. They sent magazines that I’d never even think twice to read. I’m very sorry about your mother, I myself am a young single mom and I can’t believe that they prey on people like us. I’m NEVER ordering magazines again after this! It makes me sick. If at all you find out anything let me know =) Good Luck.

I appreciate all who are posting and warning others due to the deceitful and victimizing tactics used by Patriotic Readers Club. I am currently trying to compile as many written complaints against the company as I can, myself being one of the victims of their fraudulent ways.

Please help me in this endeavor as I attempt to aid the Colorado government and necessary authorities in fighting back against this company. As soon as you possibly can, please send me as detailed a report of how Patriotic Readers Club has caused offense to you. Detailed is great, but if you do not have time, just a simple report will suffice. The more reports I can get the more actively I can fight them.
