I entered the BP Gas Station to buy cigarettes and gas using a BP Gift Card. The clerk, Adlib, said the card was invalid. I called the 800 number on the back and received confirmation that the card was indeed valid and full. Adlib then said that regardless of what customer service said, he could not serve me. I mentioned that the way he was entering it may be incorrect and that I am a long standing customer of this particular gas station and had done the exact same type of transaction several times before. He suggested that I was a liar and that he had never seen me before. I left and returned later after speaking with customer service again.

This time I had a friend with me. He refused to check the card again and stated that I was giving him a headache and then he refused to serve myself as well as my friend who was to make a purchase with her credit card. Then he proceeded to shut off the lights to the gas station saying that they were now closed and for us to get out. I informed him that I would be reporting him for his actions, he said go ahead. The next afternoon I went to the other BP station in Bayonne on Kennedy Blvd and had no problem with the service or my BP gift card.
