Dear Sir/Madam,

This is Abhijit Chakravarty a resident of GE Links, Ram Mandir Road, Goregaon West, Mumbai. This is to lodge a complaint and bring to your notice that the Auto-Rickshaws standing on Ram Mandir road outside GE Links Goregaon have Tampered meters through which they overcharge the commuters daily.

Auto-Rickshaw number MH-02-X-4980 in particular has been charging high fare through tampered meter. For Example, The fare for travelling from Ram Mandir road Goregaon West to Andheri station West is Rs.26/- with the meter indicating 2.70 where as if one travels by Auto rickshaw MH-02-X-4980 it will come to Rs.32/- with the meter indicating 3.30, Kindly look into the matter of growing commuters problems in this regard on Ram Mandir Road, Goregaon West, Mumbai-104.

These Auto rickshaw goons have a strong lobby who are not scared of the authorities, since nothing yet has been done by RTO in this area and thus make fun of the commuters as well as the RTO and traffic police.

Kindly take urgent action.

Auto rickshaw number MH03 AA 1509 is having a faulty meter or has been tampered with. From L&T gate – Opp to JVLR exit to Oberoi Garden, Chandivali its hardly is 15 Rs (as per meter 1.6). Today this auto fellow’s meter showed up 2.1 (20 Rs). A 25 % more.

I daily get off the AC bus at the L&T corner & take an auto from opp side ( at L & T ) gate) . When I asked him about his meter he straight away denied that his meter was alright & he had turned down the meter when I sat.

I said there was no traffic today as its almost 11 am in the morning its not in peak office hrs. Later I said I’ll have to complaint if you would continue denying that your meter is possibly faulty. He straight away told ” Karneka hai to karo” ( register a complaint if you want).

Request authorities to validate his mater so that other people don’t suffer. Had I taken the auto from kandivali to here (Oberoi, Khandivali) I would had been charged 150/- instead of 115/-

Dear Sir/Madam,

I took the rickshaw MH 02 X 8916 from bandra east highway to go towards powai via JVLR (jogeshwari vikhroli link road). the driver was not the owner but was hired to drive the rickshaw.

its my everyday route so the meter reading upto JVLR is 65 (Rs. 85), but this meter showed 85 (Rs. 105), when i told the driver & refused to pay so much. the driver forced me to pay fare for reading 85. he demanded the fare, when i gave him 100 rs. note, he didn’t give me back change, instead got out of the rickshaw and told me to take another auto. till i don’t get out of the auto he wont drive, that was very manner less way to behave with a girl.i said in 100 i would have reached my destination with normal working meter. and threatened him of police, but he raised his voice and asked me to get down.

please take action against the driver & owner. The only way to recognize the driver hired for this rickshaw is his eyes had problem, were squint and fair looking thin man and please take some action against meter tampering.
