This is for Customer ID 3000541898. I was re-locating from Chennai to Bangalore and I wanted to take my Airtel DTH connection with me. When I called up their helpline for this purpose, they told me to pay Rs.300 and then their engineer will come to my house and uninstall the equipment.
However after I paid the amount, they just de-activated my connection and no one from Airtel came to uninstall the equipment. Every time we called their customer service center, we were told it would be done in another one hour, another one hour and so on.
In the end, I had to myself uninstall the satellite dish, wiring and package it. This I could have done anyway without paying Rs.300, had their useless customer service center told me that they do not handle uninstallation in the first place.
I would strongly advise that people avoid Airtel DTH, as their Customer Service is terrible.
