We were told we had paid for the hire of a car, on line, in full from Travel Jigsaw (Carhire3000). When we arrived at Kerry Airport (Eire) we were asked to hand over a credit card for ‘security’ reasons only. We received two pieces of paper one white A4 and one yellow NCR A5 stapled strategically over the details on the former.

When we returned to the UK, we discovered that Irish Car Rentals Ltd had helped themselves to a further 306.83 Pounds. Is it lawful for anyone to be able to request credit card details under false pretenses, and then withdraw money without your permission.
