Unfinished Work, Canceling All Projects

Contract signed and down payment paid for complete remodeling of kitchen. Work was suppose to begin the first week in January. All appliances have been delivered and are stored in garage and all preparation work completed by owner.

No response to our calls/emails for an exact start date. 12/22/09 received call from company stating they would not be honoring contract, they are canceling all projects. We were put on hold for more than 20 minutes and no one answered.

when we tried to call back. We were told in November that our cabinet order was complete and the start date was right on schedule. Because we have already invested so much money, we were willing to postpone the start date for a month or two. But no one would speak with us. Every time we called we were put on hold.

Just spoke with Rob on the phone. He still says he is going to make good. I am not so sure. We are at his mercy. What can anyone do?
